My Top Meals This Month

Radio Star – Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Where diner style meets Mediterranean, this all day restaurant and bar is the perfect spot for brunch. Though limited, the menu serves innovated, delicious dishes such as the sweet saffron cream pastry, truffle egg toast, and tofu griddle sandwich. But, don’t leave before trying one of their jars of various spread or one of their desserts that is available all day! Open seven days a week right at 8 AM

Sonoratown – Los Angeles, CA

Not surprised that my other top meal was a burrito for this month. And, it definately shouldn’t be a surprise that it’s Sonoratown. There’s a reason this place has been in multiple top restaurant lists in Los Angeles year after year. Maybe it’s because the flour that’s used for their handmade flour tortillas is imported from Northern Mexico everyday, or maybe it’s because every bite has a perfect chewy texture from both the tortilla and the monterey jack cheese. Whatever it is, it’s addictive! Open everyday from 11 AM to 10 PM

Baran’s 2239 – Hermosa Beach, CA

This Michelin rated restaurant has been around for almost a decade and people are still discovering their special weekend-only breakfast burritos. The only way to order the best breakfast burrito in the South Bay is by DM on Instagram or by phone. Each has a choice of housemade chorizo, bacon, or no meat. Baran’s has perfected the balance that this beach town reflects between fine dining and laid-back breakfast. Open everyday except Monday

Waka Sakura @ Tokyo Central – Gardena, CA

My older sister introduced me to this revolving sushi restaurant inside a Japanese grocery store. This friendly restaurant serves all things fresh sushi. They have nigiri, sashimi, handrolls, and more. For a sushi meal, it is reasonably priced for its quality. Depending on how big your party is, a fulfilling meal could even out to $25 to $30 per person. Open everyday from 8 AM to 10 PM
