About Me!

Background

I grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA, where I grew up with my two sisters and my parents in a close-knit, beachside community that shaped my sense of balance, curiosity, and ambition. Growing up there gave me a strong foundation, but choosing to move all the way across the country to New York for college truly pushed me to grow. Stepping out of my comfort zone taught me how to be independent, adaptable, and confident in my own decisions. Navigating a new environment, building new connections, and learning to stand on my own has shaped who I am today—someone who values where I come from, but isn’t afraid to take bold steps forward on my own.

Study Abroad

Studying abroad for an entire year was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I lived in Seoul, South Korea, and Copenhagen, Denmark—two cities with completely different cultures, rhythms, and perspectives. Being so far from home for that long challenged me to become even more self-reliant and open-minded, pushing me to adapt quickly and embrace unfamiliar ways of living. Immersing myself in new cultures, navigating language barriers, and building connections across the world strengthened my confidence and broadened how I see the world. That year taught me how to be comfortable in the unknown and solidified my independence, curiosity, and appreciation for global perspectives.

My Future

Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue building a life that reflects my curiosity, independence, and willingness to take risks. My experiences moving across the country and living abroad have given me the confidence to embrace change and pursue opportunities wherever they may be. As I think about the future, I’m motivated to keep learning, growing, and challenging myself—whether that means exploring new places, taking on meaningful work, or pushing beyond my comfort zone. I’m eager to apply the global perspective and resilience I’ve gained to whatever comes next, while staying grounded in the values and experiences that have shaped who I am.

A Passport Full of Flavors

My best inspiration for restaurants abroad were from other food influencers on Instagram. A refreshing udon from Udon Kyutaro in Kyoto, Japan. A great rec from my favorite food influencer @kaitlynlavery. Some of the best udon noodles I’ve ever had!

I had a huge BMO (Bolle Med Ost ) phase when I was in Copenhagen. A perfect simple breakfast popular in Danish culture. A combination of freshly baked sourdough slathered with salted butter, and topped with a high-quality cheese. THE BEST MEAL EVER!

Another Copenhagen staple! Fabro Pasta is a small restaurant that always has a line outside the door. A limited menu that switches up based on what ingredients are best for the season. Their pomodoro pasta was the perfect slice of Italy in this Danish city.

Foodie Era!

My love for food didn’t begin during my study abroad year. I have had a passion for capturing my favorite meals and showing my friends. For years, I kept the photos of my meals in an album on my phone. It wasn’t until two years ago when I decided to create an Instagram account to document for my friends and family.
